Metropolitan Montessori Schools' administrative team is comprised of early childhood education professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience. The administrative team has shared responsibilities which sustain and support the activities of our faculty and staff, which are the nucleus of our organization.
An experienced international petroleum attorney, Greg has lived and worked around the world. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering and Stanford University Business and Law Schools. Dedicated to early childhood education, he is the founder of the Cathedral House Montessori School and a sponsor of the Center in Houston for Infant Learning and Development.
Teri has served as administrator of Cathedral House Episcopal School since 1994. A certified Montessori teacher and trainer, she has worked in the early childhood education field for over 30 years. Teri is a certified infant/toddler and primary teacher, a certified Touchpoints Trainer through Brazelton Touchpoints Center and a board member for the Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC) and Montessori Administrator's network.
Karen has more than thirty years of experience in the early childhood education field. She is a mentor and field consultant for the American Montessori Society and is a Certified Montessori Teacher through the National Center for Montessori Education (NCME). Karen is skilled in NAEYC (NAEYC) Accreditation and is actively involved in the efforts of the Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC).
Aaron has nine years of experience in the early childhood education field and holds leadership positions in numerous professional and industry-related organizations. He serves as President of the Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC), Houston Representative on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TAEYC) and is a certified Touchpoints Trainer through Brazelton Touchpoints Center. Aaron is an Eagle Scout and graduate of the University of Texas.
A native Houstonian, Connie has spent her entire professional life in the field of early childhood education. A graduate of Texas Southern University with a degree in Psychology, Connie has taught children as young as 12 months and as old as eight years in a variety of settings. She has spent the last few years focusing on the education of teachers in the field. Connie is the former director and a long time mentor with the School Literacy and Culture Project in the Center for Education at Rice University.
Michelle has 6 years of experience as a Bilingual Early Childhood Montessori teacher for Aldine I.S.D. She graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in psychology. Recently she graduated with her Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership. She has also participated in numerous curriculum writing and research projects. Michelle feels very passionate about Montessori and early childhood education. It is through this passion that she was selected as the 2005-2006 Aldine District Teacher of the Year and has served as a presenter for both NCME and AMS.
