Professional Development

According to the Texas Department of Family Protective Services, child care providers must obtain 24 clock hours of training on an annual basis.

Annual ongoing training provides caregivers an opportunity to learn the newest techniques for addressing children’s behaviors, to discover the latest finding on what children need as they develop, and to refresh and re-energize their skills. Some re-training on previously studied topics is necessary to keep skills and knowledge up-to-date, such as Child Abuse and Shaken Baby/ Brain Development which must be taken every year.
